Since 2009, she has run her own studio, focusing on projects that combine strong visual identity with meaningful content. She holds a PhD in Typography and Graphic Communication from the University of Reading, where her research examined the evolution of food labels and health messages from 1850 to 1970 in response to societal changes, trends, and discoveries.

Bodil is the founder and art director of Moonberry Publishing.

Moonberry Publishing

Moonberry Publishing is a small independent publishing house that explores the connections between health and society and uses design to make content accessible. Some of our books will dive into specific themes, while others will bring together multiple perspectives, inviting contributions from writers, photographers, and illustrators from around the world.

We will explore a range of formats, from visually engaging children’s books to in-depth essays, always with a distinct visual identity. Our books aim to provoke thoughts, spark conversations, and challenge conventional viewpoints, encouraging readers to explore the world with fresh perspectives.

The initial collection of books explores themes from Bodil’s doctoral research. The first volume is now available, with the second and third to be published during 2025.
